blackfriMost of the stores in The Block of Orange, including Forever 21, opened at 8 a.m.

A line of about 75 people patiently waited for the retail clothing store to open its doors.

The Nike Factory Store, The Children’s Place and Old Navy got a jump on the competition and opened at midnight. Tilly’s opened at 6 a.m.

Blake Windal, the mall’s general manager, said all stores will open at midnight on Black Friday in 2010.

Here are some deals at the mall:

  • Converse is offering 25 percent off all items until 11 a.m.
  • Nike Factory Store is offering 20 percent off all items until Sunday
  • Ann Taylor Factory Store is offering 50 percent off all items

Shopper Stephen Sparks said he was one of the first 75 people in line at Tilly’s and received a $50 gift card, which he spent on a flannel.
