Dems are NOT the only party running the state. Our governor is a Repub. and vetoes some bills that would aid the gay community, including the same-sex marriage bill passed by the Dem controlled legislature but vetoed by Schwarzenegger in 2007. You have a democrat run state and country and nothing has changed from the Bush years, has it? Then this ding-dong says he wants his elected representative to support "separation of church and state". The actual concept is "separation of church FROM state", get it? Of course he's not "real studied on the candidates". He's probably not real studied on anything. At 65, that's an embarrassment.
