img_2485The Kogi Truck dropped by Orange one night this week from 10:30 p.m. to midnight, serving Mexican-Korean tacos, quesadillas and burritos outside of Prim Jewelry on East Meats Avenue.

With more than 45,000 followers on Twitter, lines at Kogi are usually long.

But on a cold night, only about 25 people were in line around 10:45 p.m. Kogi has added a truck to serve on Meats Avenue once or twice a week, according to Alice Shin, creative director.

“I heard about Kogi and the gourmet taco truck, and when I heard it was (coming here), I was stoked,” said Orange resident Sarah Whittenberg. “I think it’s really fun for people who are foodies who are beyond the high-end food craze.”

Whittenberg claims Kogi serves some of the best tacos she’s ever had.

Fullerton resident Nate Miller, who was eating on the trunk of his car, heard about the Kogi Truck through his brother who lives in Los Angeles.
