Deciding between the SAT or the ACT can be difficult.
On Saturday ( Oct. 24), that decision could become easier.
The Villa Park Public Library will be hosting a free Kaplan SAT/ACT combo test to help those struggling over which college entrance exam to take.
“It’s a nice opportunity, because they are both very different tests,” said children’s librarian Jackie Overlid. “It helps you learn what test you feel more comfortable with.”
The test will last from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be a follow-up workshop on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6-7 p.m.; the test results will be discussed.
Additionally, Kaplan employees will be discussing which schools accept each test.
The testing will be limited to around 60 people. Many have already expressed interest and it is better to register beforehand, according to Overlid.
There is no registration fee, but participants must bring a No. 2 pencil and a calculator.
To sign up, go to the Villa Park Public Library, or go online to kaptest.com/practicetest and enter event code, SKOC9459.
