Orange Little League’s 9/10 all-star team loses state championships

Orange Little League’s All-Star team for 9- and 10-year-olds lost the State Championships to Rancho San Diego on Monday night (3-4).

By the sixth inning, the Orange all-star team had two runners on base, two outs and two strikes. Cleanup hitter Shane Darsow hit a three-run home run, closing the gap.

The Orange all-star team had a successful season, certainly, winning the District 30, Section 5 and California Sub Division 3 North Championships.

“This is the first time in Orange Little League’s 51-year history that an all-star team has gotten this far. These boys have worked so hard, accomplished so much, and we truly couldn’t be any prouder for them,” said Shannon Huttner, team mom and player agent.
